Bio

A car enthusiast with 30 years of experience in the automotive sector. Born in Milan (Italy) in 1967, I hold a degree in Business Administration from the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi di Milano, and in 2017 I was named Bocconi Alumnus of the Year. I began my career at Renault in 1992, prior to joining Toyota Europe, followed by the Fiat Group, where I was Head of Business Units Lancia, Fiat and Alfa Romeo, CEO of Abarth and Chief Marketing Officer of the Fiat Group. In 2009, I joined the Volkswagen Group as Marketing Director of the Volkswagen Group and brand, and in 2012 I took up the position of Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at AUDI AG. From November 2015 to January 2020 I've been the President of SEAT and CUPRA, member of the Supervisory Boards of Ducati and Lamborghini and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Volkwagen Group in Spain. Since July 2020, I am CEO of Renault Group and from January 2021 I am member of Renault Group’s Board of Management. From January 2021 until February 2023 I have also been CEO of the Renault brand. Since January 2023 I am also President of the European Automobile Manufacturers'​ Association (ACEA). From April 2021 to October 2022, I have been member of the Board of Director of TIM (Telecom Italia)
